Caddo River Cleanup

Keep Arkansas Beautiful Clean Up

On the Caddo River

September 11, 2013

Begins at 9:00 a.m.

The cleanup is sponsored by Caddo River Camping and Canoe Rental and the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce. It is a sanctioned Keep Arkansas Beautiful Clean Up.

Everyone is welcome to participate.  If you have a canoe, you are invited to use your own canoe and self-transport. If you don’t have a canoe, Caddo River Camping and Canoe will provide some canoes and shuttle, free of charge, for the clean- up event. There are a limited number of canoes available for free use. Please contact Caddo River Camping and Canoe to get on the volunteer list that needs a canoe.

Depending on the water level, the event may start at the Narrows or just north of Glenwood and will end at Baker’s Rock. You may float all or any part, as pre-arranged.

If you prefer not to paddle or enter the water, you are invited to walk the shorelines. Trash bags and gloves will be provided for all volunteers.

There will be a special prize for the person who recruits the most volunteers for the day!
